Tenergy charger not charging battery

I have a Tenergy 6-12V NiMH/NiCD charger and 6V 2800mAh battery pack that I purchased together from here a while back. When I connect the battery to the charger and use an elastic strap to hold the temp sensor to the battery the red charging light will pulse, not blink, for about 30 seconds then go off entirely.

In the data sheet it says “Green LED will flash slowly when no battery is plugged in.” However, mine does not do this. No light is on when there is no battery connected.

The charger worked one time and has acted like this since then. Could this be a bad battery, or the charger?

Did you add a temperature sensor on this battery or are you using another one ?

Yes, that is the battery that I am using.

The temperature sensor that I am referring to is the one that came attached to the charger.
