Hello all,
Firstly I'll introduce myself as I'm new to the site and even though I've been flying drones for a while I've decided to have a go and build my own from the ground up. Not sure if I'm taking on more than I can chew as my knowledge in this area isn't great but I'm one of those that learns by getting stuck in. So here goes...
The reason I've decided to build my own is because a) I dont have the money to cash put up front for the system I would like, and b) i love the idea of saying at the end of it "I built that". The dron is eventually going to be used as an aerial live video streaming platform for Search and Rescue where I volunteer. So eventually I'll be kitting it out with a camera. but for the time being I just want to focus on getting the platform build up to a fuly flying state. Then I can focus on the gouchie bits.
The air frame I have chosen is the TAROT FY680. The reason I have gone for this is it is a reasonably priced air from with a strong sturdy construction as well as light weight. It is also large enough to fit all the required equipment and ligt it with it's six rotors. Does any body havee any thought's on that frame, have you used it before and got any feedback for me? Is there a frame you would recommend out there that perhaps you may think is more suitable?
Any help and guidance is more than appreciated. like I said, this is new ground for me and I'm learning as I go.
Thankyou for taking the time to hav a read, and look forward to sharing plenty of ideas with this project as it proresses.
Mark
