Tamiya twin motor

Hello I see on the shop website that the Tamiya twin motor set is available. I was looking at what parts I need to radio control this motor. So what electronics do I need to make this happen?
I have a four way controller , Its the electronics that I need and the receiver.I intend to build a tracked bulldozer around it so I would want a servo for raising and lowering the blade.
The vehicle is small about 120mm wide and about 150 to 200 long without the blade.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Luke

@Bindondepotman Welcome to the RobotShop Community.

The Tamiya Twin Motor Gear Box includes very low voltage motors, making it hard to find a compatible DC motor controller.

Fortunately, you can swap the two motors for higher voltage ones which operate at 6V nominal:

To make this RC controlled, you only need a dual DC motor controller which can provide around 2A per channel and can function at 6V input.

When making the connections, know that some DC motor controllers provide 5V output on the center wire (BEC), so if you power the receiver separately, you will have issues. A common and popular choice is the Sabertooth since it can also power the receiver and another servo.

You would need two of these:

Your choice when it comes to 6V input.

Thanks for taking the time to respond, very useful. Now just waiting for payday!
