Google speakjet. I think they still make it. There are probably lots of other solutions, but this is definitely one of them. lol
where can i get speakjet, and how does it work?
interesting…
Jim, i have thought about this before and after your post on the R2D2 sound generator, i was thinking that one could program the sound frequencies in rapid (and i mean fast) successions so that you get about 100 notes a second. then using that to produce a single note. ie an alphabetical letter AAAAAAAAAA! by using the techniques shown in the link to bend the sound note to form the chosen letter sound.
I have been trying to make it sound like GIR and say some of his famous quotes from Invader Zim.
I have used the speakjet and I like it. You will need to build a simple audio amplifier to make it loud enough to hear but not required to make it work. You can buy it at speechchips.com Here is a video of it talking. I helped with some of the words in this demo the words I created were: object detected, battery low, left side, right side, mission completed, sonar ready, my name is vector, initializing, and “hasta la vista baby” from the terminator movies etc… The other words were created by Eddie. at the very end.
