T4EXA - Futaba 4 channel transmitter to 5 channel conversion

So…I was poking around on the insides of my transmitter the other day and realized I could get it to transmit a 5th channel and that channel was either on or off so 2 position…

Would anyone want a how to on that?.. It’s very simple and wouldn’t mind taking 10 minutes or so to make a guide for whoever might need it or want it really…

Then would anyone want to take this transmitter/receiver off my hands as I just ordered a T7C … zenta convinced me to buy it since I want a RC phoenix like him!

Hey TIM5PARK

You wanted it here it is.

So plug in a servo to channel 5 and keep your receiver open when you do this, simply solder a momentary switch between anyone of the black wires inside and that S2 pad, you only get 1 state really with that switch as far as I know you cant get it to move smoothly like the sticks, so you pretty much have like a mode button or some other feature…

Anyway that’s the jist of it, seems pretty easy, I found it just by poking around inside…

S1 pad doesn’t do anything either… although feel free to probe around and post in here if you have found anything interesting.

good luck.

If you really want a receiver you can do something with get a hold of the Futaba T7C “Heli” model and the futaba FASST system Receiver, it’s pretty slick!, that’s what I use on my phoenix and I think myself and Zenta are the only 2 people with that setup as far as I know.
