SyRen 25 Motor Driver

Good Day I recently ordered, received and installed a SyRen 25 Motor Driver. This is the 6th unit that I have installed on various model locomotive over the years, and all very successful set-up.
This time however I have a little problem that I cannot get my head around.
I have the Motor Driver Dip Switches 4 and 5 in the OFF position all other switches in the ON position (like I have done in all other locomotive).
I use a 10k pot as the controller and SPST toggle switch as a reversing switch hooked-up from 5v to S2.
When I operate with the reversing switch in the open state, turn the pot, the motor start turning in one direction (forward) until the pot gets to the half position then the motor changes direction (reverse) until at full speed.
When I operate with the reversing switch in the closed state, turn the pot, the motor start turning in the reverse direction and increasingly faster until full speed is achieved.
I do not remember having this problem in the past, and get older I am certainly not getting any smarter.
Would you suggest a remedy to my problem, thank you.
Regards, Claude.

P.s. I used the directions printed from the internet, provided by DimemsionEngineering, my previous supplier, they suggested that I order this unit thru your firm
and I certainly pleased that I can shop CANADIAN.

Hi,

If we get this right, your [RB-Dim-06] has its DIP switches setup like this:

Also, if we understand this correctly, the desired behavior would be: 0-100% speed control from the pot (no direction change from that) and direction control from the toggle switch.

Does your switch on S2 always provide a signal or is it only driving a value when on? Please provide one or more pictures of your setup of the S2 switch. It would be also helpful if you can make a quick schematic of how it is connected.
Typically, you do not want any input pins to be floating, as this can lead to undesirable results. This may be the case of your switch.

Sincerely,
