Sweepy dust shoe for generic spindle

Can the Sweepy 65mm dust shoe (Sweepy Vacuum Dust Boot for Shapeoko ( 65mm) - RobotShop) be used on a generic 65mm spindle, or is there something specific to Shapeoko?

Hi @rojhan and welcome to our forum.

It should work on other 65mm routers, like Makita for example.

You also have newer version: Sweepy 2.0 for Carbide Compact Router (65mm) - RobotShop

Thanks for the quick response, @igor_X . I measured my vacuum hose and it seems to be an odd size; 45mm OD and 40mm ID. Will either Sweepy fit?

Hi @rojhan ,

Sweepy 1.0 has 36mm dust port and Sweepy 2.0 fits a 2.5” Shopvac hose as standard and includes adapters for 2.25" and 36mm Festool/Fein.

I made an adapter from PVC, then found out my Bosch router has an adapter that works fine, too.
