Can this unit be connected to the DJI A2 flight controller, or be used independently?
Like have the drone do a sweep of the area, return to home, then retrieve data from the unit?
Is there a alternate unit that will or can do this? Or is a OSD type sensor best for this?
In general, nothing but DJI stuff can be connected to DJI flight controllers.
If you want to “scan” an area you can use it independently of the DJI and retrieve the information.
The whole thing is not easy, it depend on the actual goal of your project.
Those sensors are actual sensors that can get information but you have to be able to use this information.
