Student-help choosing motor for flipping tool on battle-bot

Hi, my robotics group and I are looking for assistance choosing a small motor for our battle-bot competition that is in November of 2016. The model we are choosing is a “wedge” type

This is a picture of our bot. It weighs about 15 pounds. Our goal is to have a flipper tool placed on the angled wedge, but we are not sure of the motor we need to power it. We are looking to flip and make airborne opponent robots who also weigh 15 pounds.

The motors do not need to be cheap, but not unnecessarily expensive. Any help and suggestions for both the motor and flipper tool would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you need the flipper to move quickly, you’ll need something pneumatic, with a reservoir. Electric tends to be slow (~3" per second).
