Still showing Pinch Detect after replacing terminals

I’ve been having intermittent issues for years with the pinch detect, but now it seems to be broken for good. If I reset it, it goes to flashing blue as if the tray is full, and resetting again puts it back to the rapidly flashing yellow light–I’m stuck between the two. After taking the unit apart I found that the pinch terminals were very corroded. I ordered new ones and replaced them, but the problem still remains. I confirmed with a multimeter that the two prongs in the anti-pinch are making strong contact.

What do I replace next?

Hi @OutdoorMiner

Next part you should replace is DFI sensor.

You can buy new one here: Litter-Robot 3 Open Air DFI Hardware - RobotShop

This video can help you replace it: Litter-Robot 3 DFI Kit + Pinch Detect Terminals Installation - YouTube

Feel free to ask anything else.

I am happy to report that this solved my current issue, and presumably the recurrence of it, as the sensor was definitely bad. Thank you very much for the guidance. As long as parts are available, I think we can keep these things running forever. Not having a working one for the last couple weeks reminded me of just how good of a product this is. There’s no going back!
