Stewart platform

Has anyone ever programmed a Stewart Platform, using ABB2 with Pro28, SSC32, and PS2?

obviously one using servos like this.

Rumor has it that EMC and EMC2 can run a Stewart Platform. Might look at their code.

Hi, Innerbreed. You posted a video about one of my older stewart platforms.

What do you want to know?
(Have you contacted me before through some other channel?)

Edit:

Very pretty.

Hi, Dan, Yes we spoke on YouTube about Stewart platforms. At the time of posting i was researching the Stewart Platform for a project i was doing. (the image you posted)

The project was inspired by your design. (servo placement)

More on the project and where it ended up:

Post how you made it to instructables and Lets Make Robots. Play your cards right you could win a laser cutter.
(I want to win a laser cutter so bad…)

Wow, cool prize! What robot builder doesn’t want to have a laser cutter?!

Entered it into the Six-Axis Joystick to two challenges at instructables but it got rejected.
They said the Six-Axis Joystick (Stewart Platform) for Animatronics prop manipulation. does not fit the requirements for the Hack It! Challenge or the Halloween Props Challenge!

Oh well its prob best i don’t get a laser cutter. might be dangerous in my hands.

Thought some of you guys might be interested. I’m making this into a kit if you want your own.

Thanks dan. Good to see you are keeping busy.
Nice idea making these as kits. Im sure it will gain some interest.

Hey people,

I’ve been making robots as kits for a few months now and someone asked for a Stewart Platform like the OP, so I made it happen.

Here’s a link for more info: bit.ly/ZO0Dec

Code is on github in case anyone wants to join in or build their own.

Jonny, I’d love to build your joystick and offer it as a companion piece to my platform. Are you OK with that?

Yeah Dan go ahead.

Be a nice little project for people. many people have asked if ill make them one but i haven’t the time and so once you are done ill post your link on my Youtube video description so people can buy them form you…

Thank you! I’ll be sure to give you full credit with a link to InnerbreedFX.

Consider contacting RobotShop about the accelerator program - it would allow you to design, get checks in the mail and not care about production / shipping / returns / logistics etc.

Does lynxmotion use it?

RobotShop purchased Lynxmotion back in 2012, so the accelerator program applies to both companies.

Huh. why the sale?

Hopefully this will explain things (from Jim, a.k.a. “Robot dude” - the founder of Lynxmtion):
