This is just something goofy I've been fooling with. I was given a broken mini helicopter with no remote:

 It did have the charger which was nice so I turned the heli into a lipo charger:

 I just de-soldered the wire and rigged up a plug!  Some LMRers figured it was about 150ma and the meter read 4 V. Too bad it won't power an Arduino but I imagine a 3,3 V uC would work. I have an MSP340...

STEVIE THE WONDER SLED!

 

Like I said, nothing exciting. No servos or sensors or even a processor. Just a little sled :open_mouth:

 

I just thought I would share it in the hopes that it may inspire someone else to tinker with one of these little helis. If you have a broken one! Or you crash yours…

Thanks for the input!  I was thinking of trying something with an attiny 85 so it may work.

I was surprised that it had enough thrust to move the skid. I was just making a holder for the little motor/prop and it took off!
