Stepper Motor

Hi,

I have a NI USB-6211 control board and I would like to control a stepper motor with it. This is my board:

This is the motor that I want to purchase and that I want to control:
Stepper Motor: 2.8 V 1.68A 4.4 kg-cm

This is the driver that I want to purchase and that I want to use with the motor:
Motor Driver: Big Easy Driver

Are these 3 components compatible each other?

Thnks for the help

Yes, these parts should all be compatible. Although the Soyo stepper motor is unipolar, you can still use it with the Big Easy bipolar motor controller by using only 4 of the 6 wires from the stepper (see the 4 Lead configuration).

The Big Easy Driver can then be controlled using digital output pins from the NI board. I can’t tell if the NI board has 5V-level outputs, or 3.3V-level outputs. The Big Easy Driver uses 5V level by default, but can be modified (with solder bridge) to uses 3.3V instead.

Hope this helps.
