I am working on a project and I am hoping for some guidance.
I have a stepper motor with a 5mm drive shaft. I am wanting to drive a capacitor with a 10mm shaft. If i currently connect the motor direct to the end of the capacitor (using a straight coupler) it will turn it but it does struggle and I would rather have the motor next to the capacitor rather that on the end of it.
So I have see people use belts for this kind of thing which seems perfect however I don’t know where to begin in finding what I need. I came across this site and it seems that parts may be available but there are many many options which I just don’t understand.
Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to achieve this?
