Hi: I’ve just recently purchased a shapeoko router from your company and I have assembled it completely and i love it.
Now since I am not electronic savvy, I have a problem with connecting the 2 Y axis motors together. I would like a more detailed explanation as to how I reverse the polarity on one of the motors?
A hand drawn sketch would be appreciated very much. Thank you
Victor
If you reverse the polarity on one motor, the system may break - one motor is forcing in one direction, while the other is forcing in the opposite direction.
Can you indicate why you would reverse one as opposed to both?
The reason is the y axis on my cnc as 2 motors connected to the same terminal. They have to rotate in opposite direction because the motors are mirored on the base.
You should be able to reverse the poles’ wiring to get it to rotate in the opposite direction. Unfortunately we do not have a diagram for that product.
You should be able to follow the assembly guide which describes the wiring here: youtu.be/4F8JjEn4thM?t=582
It does mean you need a multimeter.
