Got the majority of the parts for my hexapod today. The servos should be here tomorrow. When I went to plug the DB9 cable into my laptop I quickly realized I didn’t have a serial port to plug it into. To solve this I had to order another compoment from Active-robots, its a USB 2.0 To RS232 Adapter. I hoping before the end of the week I’ll be able to test the functionality of the Bot Board II.
I have the BAP28 inserted into its receptacle in the Bot Board, It sits fairly high, Do I need to trim the legs on the BAP28 or is it ok like this? (see attached pic)
Thanks
Your mission, should you choose to accept it… is to push the chip/pins down into the socket without bending them. Be careful…
Got it. I did’t realize it would take that force to push the chip in. I’ll be able to test it when I get the usb adapter during the week. I downloaded “Basic Micro Studio” software from www.basicmicro.com
I presume this is the same as the BASIC Atom Pro IDE mentioned in the BASIC Atom Pro Programming Tutorial only newer
Thanks again
Did a bit more research and found out that the Basic Micro Studio is the combined IDE and the latest version, so all is ok
