SSC32 Software Visual Basic .NET and Bluetooth Help Required

Hi,

I am currently using SSC32 Servo Controller Software v2.2 - Visual Basic .NET

I saw the tutorial on integrating Sparkfun Bluetooth equipment with the SSC-32 servo controller which uses LynxTerm

My question is can I use the SSC32 Servo Controller Software v2.2 - Visual Basic .NET to communicate with the SSC-32 Servo Controller instead of LynxTerm???

I would think so, although I haven’t tried it. Search the messages here, perhaps there are comments on it.

Is there a specific feature of LynxTerm that you need in Servo Controller?

Let us know how it works!

I searched but didnt find any answer.

I want to use the SSC32 Servo Controller Software v2.2 - Visual Basic .NET not the LynxTerm because SSC32 Servo Controller Software v2.2 is more easy to use.

I think you’ll just have to try it! I see no reason not to.

Firstly, to connect a Sparkfun bluetooth module to your SSC-32, follow this lynxmotion.com/images/html/build117.htm guide.
When you have green light on the bluetooth unit using Lynxterm, copy these same comm port settings into the VB program’s config settings.

I use the SSC32 with the VB app all the time over bluetooth. Once you follow the instructions mentioned above, configure the software on your computer with these instructions: otherrobots.com/Tutorials/Bl … fault.aspx

When your done configuring the bluetooth enter the com port number (from in the last step above) into the VB app as outlined here otherrobots.com/Tutorials/SS … fault.aspx.

Lynxterm is only used to setup the bluetooth. It is not required beyond the initial set up.
