SSC32 and USB interface

Dear all,

Using a new PC on windows 8, i bought some USB/Serial cables on Robotshop but nothing works, even with the good drivers !
Because recent PC doesn’t have a serial port, could you confirm me that if i buy an internal serial card for my PC the system will works ?
If yes what kind of internal serial card recommend me (I have PCI Express on the motherboard) ?

Otherwise, does it exist a SSC32 card with the direct USB connection ?

Hi Christophe,

We’re surprised that you’re having driver problems with the cables: we’ve used them on our Windows 8 computers without issue. Have you verified the baud rate and COM port numbers?

A PCIe expansion card that has serial ports should also work. They’re available for about $20-30 a local computer stores.

We will also be releasing a USB version of the SSC-32 in about a month.
