Ssc power supply

Hi
I will have at most 8 of the hs422 servos on my ssc32 and I also wish to use the ps for the logic.

Can I use a 6vdc 1.5 amp power supply in place of the recommended 6vdc 2 amp ps for my ssc32

My guess would be Yes.

as I am using 1600ma to power 18 servos and the SSC-32 board.

Hey,

My guess would also have to be yes. Lynxmotion sells a Wall Transformer that is 6v @ 1.5A and it is used in the Lynx 5 & 6 arms which uses 5/6 servos. I would have to guess that it would work for 8 servos.

Don’t forget to place a fuse in between, just in case.
If you do overdraw it, then you’ll only have to replace an inexpensive fuse.

Good idea, what size fuse would you suggest ?

A 1.5A fuse with a voltage rating of 6V or greater should do nicely.

Thats pretty cool. So if the voltages goes out of control and goes higher than the fuses’ rating, the fuse will go poof and you dont destroy your electronics? Thats really cool.

Actually, if the current goes high - not the voltage.

Right, my bad
