SSC-32u Xbee Module Link Question

I have a SSC-32u and would like to run it via a wireless Xbee connection. The SSC-32u will be approximately 50 feet from my desktop. I was thinking that maybe the Xbee Bluetooth Bee module https://www.robotshop.com/products/bluetooth-bee with a Bluetooth adapter on the desktop usb port would be appropriate for my application. Need feedback. Thanks

Welcome to the RobotShop Community. Indeed, that Bluetooth Bee should be compatible, though it’s advertized as offering 20m to 30m (line of sight) wireless distance. As you likely know, objects in the path like walls etc., other wireless signals and more would reduce that theoretical max distance.

The alternative would be a longer-range RF module like an actual XBee or XBee PRO from Digi.
