I am trying to use the RobotShop M100RAK V2 Modular Robotic Arm Kit (robotshop.com/en/robotshop-m … fgodWm8Cbg) to integrate with an xbox kinect so that it will follow human arm movement as part of a project. I am using the SSC-32U and was able to get all of the joint to move using the provided servo-sequencer software that came with the robot arm.
Does anyone have any insight on how to integrate the kinect with the SSC-32U? I have seen that we can using Simulink with the kinect but that there are problems with the data types that Simulink will send to the servo controller. Also, is there any way to alter the servo sequencer software provided with the SSC-32U? It would be greater if we did not have to code the servo sequencer up to work with the kinect.
Any help with this is appreciated as we are somewhat lost on what software to use. We are also considering using a Raspberry Pi 3 to speed up the response time between the kinect/arm.
