SSC-32u communication with pc

I have a HP pc and am trying to talk to the SSC-32u board.
I have installed Com4 on the pc but get an error saying additional work needs to be done to be able to communicate with SSc-32u board
I have changed the baud rate on the board to 9600 and I am using the cable that you supplied with the order?

Is the FTDI ship recognized and the corect FTDI VCP driver installed? Go to the FTDI website -> VCP drivers and install it manually (for your operating system).
So long as the driver installed correctly and the board is powered, the SSC-32U should work normally. Can you provide a few clear photos of your setup, as well as how you are trying to send signals to the board (which software or which commands)?
The more information you provide, the better we can help.

YEA!!
up dating the driver worked. Thank you very much.
I downloaded the Lynxterm board testing program but have no instruction manual for it?

No real manual. You select the COM port, then select Terminal -> Setup to select the baud rate associated with the SSC-32U and finally at the far right which of the 32 channels you want to communicate with. You can use the interface to write and send SSC-32 compatible commands as well. Don’t worry about the timeouts, Registry (Reg), Firmware or macros.
