SSC-32U and Wondering if

Good Afternoon,

I am a teacher in a school where they purchased the SSC-32U a number of years back along with the arm/grab. I am just wondering if this arm could be controlled by a new/exsiting board and a controller veruses coding/software.

Thanks,

Q1) I am just wondering if this arm could be controlled by a new/exsiting board and a controller

The SSC-32U is modular, so if you need a new one, it can be replaced. If you mean using a completely different controller, you only need to use one which can provide RC signals. If you want to program it instead using a microcontroller, just see if the microcontroller can handle 5 or 6 RC servos directly or if you’ll need a dedicated servo controller (like the SSC-32U).

Q2) veruses coding/software.

Do you mean a handheld controller? You won’t get inverse kinematics but instead only control over each joint:

If I didn’t understand your questions correctly, can you elaborate?
