I bought the SSC-32 bd. from you.
It came with a free utility program.
But now it seems like I need to buy the studio pkg for $39.95 to open the utility.Is this correct?

You can use the SSC-32U with the following free software:

You can also communicate with the SSC-32U via normal (easy to understand) serial protocol, as described in the manual:

FlowBotics Studio ($39.95) is not required but does provide a lot of additional functionality.
