SSC-32 Not connecting to Visual sequencer on windows 7

Please can anyone help.
We have just installed visual sequencer on a windows 7 laptop, and it will not work. It worked fine on a desktop that runs XP. From what I have read people are saying that it is not compatible with windows 7, is their anything we can do to make it work.

We need more information. The program works fine for me on my Win7 laptop…

I’m not aware of any such issues with the program working with W7. Where did you read this?

Some people on the internet said that it would not work. and on the lynxmotion web page for it sequencer it did not mention that it would work with windows 7.
we have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but it still did not work.
the version of sequencer we are using is 1.15
and the laptop is and EliteBook 8540w

What exactly is not working? We can’t see what you’re looking at, so we can’t help you unless you describe the error or give us a screenshot.

We connect the SSC-32 to the lap top using a serial cable to usb adapter cable. Then we turn on the power 5V, everything lights up fine. but when we open the sequencer it tells us that is cannot find the SSC-32 we check every com port, still cannot find it. But when we do the same thing to our desktop it has no problem the SSC-32.

In that case, I would take a look here. Also, what USB to Serial adapter are you using?

i confirm. mine ssc works fine with prolific usb-com adapter or via BT dongle on win7 using lynxterm or SEQ.

Also confirmed, works with USB to Serial adapter under Windows 7 64Bit

Thanks for the help was able to get it working the Baud rate was set wrong
