SSC-32 & Light-O-Rama

Hey guys-
New here, and to this type of stuff. I’m looking to use the SSC-32 to control my servos- but I want to see if I can use Light-O-Rama’s software to program it. The LOR site states that it supports digital I/O boards- but not sure if that means I can use the ssc32 with it and have it all work properly. Can someone clarify for me if this would work? I’m trying to avoid using multiple softwares to control my show- and would prefer to keep everything in LOR’s software at all costs. How do I do this?
Thanks!

You will probably need to provide the technical details (or links) on how the LOR software works.

if it will output serial commands . you dont really program the ssc32(except for the firmware) u have to tell it what to do and it handle the servo timing and speed

I have been looking at the Light-O-Rama stuff since I saw your post. As far as I can tell, it is not able to control the SSC-32 via any serial interface.

You should look at VSA, which does support the SSC-32.

yeah- that’s my next plan of attack- using VSA. It’s just that I have an entire show planned out, and LOR will dim/fade/shimmer etc the lights. I don’t want to have to try to have 2 different applications running, and synching everything between the two to coincide. I was really hoping LOR would interface with the SSC so I could have my animatronics running in the same show as my lights and whatnot.

I know LOR will be coming out with a new servo board here this year- but it’ll be much more expensive, and I can’t wait for them to get it out and bugs worked out. Any other ideas to get LOR to interface?
