SSC - 32, EEPROM and loading sequences

Hi all …

I’m using the visual sequencer V1.16 and trying to save sequences to eeprom.

First up, I’ve found, read and understood all manuals and regarding and relating to the ssc, eeprom sequences etc. However there is nothing I’ve found detailing saving sequences in the first instance.

If I click the “GP seq.” button, a window pops up with 5 other buttons but only ‘test’ an ‘exit’ are live. Written in green writing in the middle of the window is written:

'No EEPROM
0 Byte
(or wrong firmware)

The board otherwise seems to work faultlessly including everything via the button above (SEQ Sequencer). I’m probably being really dumb but I’ve run out of ideas, any suggestions would be really helpful.

adz…

This looks to be a dead giveaway to me. What firmware do you have installed on the SSC-32? You’ll need to use the GP firmware if you aren’t. To test this open LynxTerm and type VER then enter. It will respond with the current firmware version.

Hi,

…and we assume you’ve installed an EEPROM into the vacant 8 DIP socket too?

Hi there

I think the firmware’s fine

It’s SSC32-v2.01XE

Yep it came with one installed already. (Got a brat kit from total robots in the UK)

Sorry no it’s not. You need to replace the firmware with the GP version.

Wow excellent, that was unusually easy.

Now what does one do next?

How would I load a sequence I’d programed in the editor into this spreadsheet thing?

This is a complex question to try and answer step by step on the forum, so start with reading the manual.

Excellent. I’d not read this manual.

Don’t forget to post some video of your BRAT running with the embedded sequences. We would love to see it.

7.2.1 Export a project to GP Sequencer.
From the main window, open the ‘Project’ form, select ‘Basic Export’.
Then choose your microcontroller

I’m using none of the three microcontrollers. What do \I do if I’m using a picaxe?

You must reformat the program for the picaxe syntax…

eeek that sounds involved!

Oh well nothing ventured, nothing gained. Where would one begin?

Read the associated manuals to see how similar commands are formatted. Programming is programming, only the syntax changes. lol

Oh that belongs in a tagline… somewhere. :unamused: 8)
