just a quick question can you configure the 5 volts from the digital input on the card thru a PLC output back to the negative side of the input. It would basically be like shorting the positive side to the negative side for just one second and use that for the as the input for the wait for command???
I’m not exactly sure what you’re trying to do, but the typical way to hook up a momentary contact switch regardless of how the contact is made, is as shown on this diagram:
This post really belongs in the RIOS heading. I know the guy is using an L6 arm with RIOS and the PLC is to trigger an event on an input. Not sure about the wording “negative side”, but to put it simply, you have to bring the SSC-32 input to a low, ground potential, for RIOS to recognize the trigger. If the PLC has a relay output, then connect the SSC-32 ground to one side and the A, B, C, or D input to the other. The SSC-32 has a pull up so it’s a normally read as a high.
