My RM510 has been working satisfactorily up til now. Now I get the message “splice wires press go”. There is no warning noise. There is a voltage reading of .025 volts across the peripheral wires. This suggests there is no break in the wire.
So, why am I asked to splice the wires?
Hi Rick23,
We suggest you to cut a shorter perimeter wire and put it around the robot and the charging base station. If the error doesn’t show anymore, it means that there is probably a cut in your main perimeter wire. However if the problem persists, the issues could be with the motherboard.
Thank you. I will try a shorter perimeter wire.
But I do get a voltage differential across the existing perimeter wire. What should the voltage difference be? Maybe mine is less than it should be? If so could that be because of a weak connection somewhere?
