SpindleBot was a project for my grandson when we needed something to do and I was teaching him about electronics. Currently it's just 2 small DC motors attached to an old CD spindle with a wired controller and 3 C batteries. The wheels are bottle caps from a 1-gal iced tea container. We plan on adding a small on-board power pack and microcontroller but probably no sensors. It's sole function in life is to move forward, randomly stop and spin for a few seconds, then move forward again. Maybe a speaker to make some sounds. Just another learning project for a child.
