Soyo stepper shaft diameter

Hello.
I’m about to purchase these SOYO unipolar steppers that I want to control with this phidget board.
The problem is that I can’t get the shaft diameter to mount this kind of hub on it., could you please help me?

Thanks for your welcome.

A simple “1/4 inch hub” search does not give relevant results.
As I’m pretty new to mechanical things, is there a place where I can find such hubs?

Are the phidgets board and the steppers I choosed compatible?

Hi robb1,

Welcome to the RobotShop Forum. The shaft diameter for the stepper motor is 6.35mm, just a tad bigger than the 6mm hub you chose. You would therefore need to drill the hub to 1/4 inch, or simply choose a hub which already has a 1/4in bore.

The stepper controller and motor you chose seem to be compatible. Consider a universal mount with 1/4" bore.
