Sony PS2 Controller basic atom pro

Hi

just a small question,
I read in some threads that the PS2 Controller only works with the BS2 and that there is a Bot board II in development which makes it possible to use an atom with the PS2???

is that right, if yes, when will the bot board II be available?

thanks for your informations…

SOrry for that post, I found my answer in another thread…

If I understood all right, I only have to connect the PS2 to different Pins and add a resistor in the Data line and than it will work with ABB and Atom pro !?!?

Yes that is true, however the first post was incorrect. The BS2 only works with some of the original equipment (Sony) tethered controllers. The Atom 28 works with pretty much any PS2 controller, but I must say that Lynxmotion is only supporting software from our website for our house brand PS2 wireless controller.

i realize this is an old thread, but thought i’d try anyway.

has anyone gotten the wireless controller to work with a PICAXE?

thanks
chris

Technically this should be in one of the general(or the PS2) forum but…

The PICAXE should be able to though it will depend on whether the controller you are talking to can talk at a slow speed(assuming bitbanged syncronous serial on a PIXAXE). If any if the PIXAXE modules have hardware syncronous serial(I think the bigger ones should since they are based on PICmicro proecssors) then you could go that route.
