Actually it looks like this will come as a kit you have to assemble Sounds like the kit will cost over $200, and does not include the xbee.
In certain ways, I like the idea of custom board, with lots of the comports installed, like xbee, display, switchs, … Makes the wiring and assembly a lot quicker and neater. However it also locks you in. For example I prefer a nice oled display or the like, but you may prefer, a more limited display for the lower cost, question is, if you do a custom board, do you support both? Like wise for joysticks, could stay with gimbals, or could go with circuit board mounted joysticks…
Also if you go through the comments they’re saying there’s a huge 200ms + delay…
Dialfonzo, except I posted it before you
lol…!
But there is not much people who look interested…
I would like to talk about hardware and then make a design (with input from other people) and produce it…
So many people with the same hardware … easier to tune the code
Yeah I think you mentioned use the Turnigy9X remote as a base?
I have two of them they are pretty nice… once upgraded to er9x obviously…
I have a receiver that outputs PPM it works great for my quadcopter … which does not fly… yet… anyway.
I have also one around.
Using all the hardware make sense to me.
Only the processor I am not sure about.
Download the source, have you flashed on Er9x onto the transmitter? if not DO IT.
I can help you with the how to on soldiering the wires to the board… its not really that bad, I used a buspirate to program them. although they have better/faster devices available that you can attach inside the transmitter for ease of use…
what are your questions???
9x is flashed
but thanks for the help
