Im sorry, but the motherboard and the videocard are the main reason, Im interested in this. The wireless router is something I need only if my Brother-in-law takes his router with him (than I dont have internet )
Everyone, please note. The motherboard is a 939 socket with DDR ram and AGP video. The video card is also most likely AGP. If you have DDR2 ram or a PCI-Express video card, it won’t work with this mobo or gpu.
$45 for it all is one hell of a deal. I would take it if I had the money.
The Abit UL8 motherboard supports Socket 939 which uses DDR ram. The Uli 1689 chipset supports AGP 4x/8x video cards. The latest motherboards use DDR2/DDR3 memory and PCI-Express video cards. Therefore, if you have DDR2/DDR3 memory or a PCI-E video card, then you won’t be able to use thi mobo without buying new hardware. If your current system doesn’t support AGP then you won’t be able to use the video card (If it is an AGP card).
The Abit UL8 motherboard provides the AGP 8x necesary for the 6800GT that is offered in the package. (i used them coupled)
Thanks Robotdude for enlightening those who did not ask
What he is saying is correct.
The newest mobos support DDR2/3 with much higher bus speeds than 400.
Then again I’d be a dumba__s for selling a $150 motherboard that supports PCI express DDR3 550+ for $20 bucks wouldn’t I.
I might still be willing to buy the whole lot, my present computer is an AMD sempron 2002 I believe which is a compaq computer. That video card might work with it, anyone know for sure? Robodude666
