Hi, I’m not into robotics as a subject in itself but I want to make a solar panel tracker and think a stepper motor and controller would be how it would work. I wonder if anyone here has been involved in such a project and may be able to give pointers? The panels are balanced on a central axle so the torque need not be great but it has to rotate slowly, obviously, eg through 180 degrees over 8 hours. This could be in steps over timed intervals. Hopefully, any parts would be readily available from the shop. I’d welcome any suggestions for an easily assembled setup, given that I’m new to this!
