Socket Server & Client

Hello,

I’ve been reading and searching… I would like to run a command line launch of RIOS on one computer to run a robotic arm on another physical computer’s com port. I got the server and client to communicate, but I’m having trouble connecting to the firmware on another box - or finding the arm. Basically, I’d like to be able to launch a project from a VM that doesn’t have a com port assigned to activate and run a robotic arm on a desktop.

I’m kind of new to this… Am I missing something simple or trying to do something that can’t be done? Thank you for any help!
