Hi i'm new at the game.

I tried to make my first robot last week and got as far as the testing stage :)

I didn't do enough research and thought a bi-pedal walker was the first thing i should try and make!

Ha ha ha, I saw Honda's Asimo for the first time and thought I can make something that walks in

A: < 1 week with

B: < $50 worth of R & D

Thats the learning curve.

I'm glad to have found LMR it has encourage me to try something else more acheivable (and just as fun)

i'm going to try a wheeled robot to enter into the 'cat-splat' challenge.

im not too sure how you intend toget a robot to walk with two motors strapped to its ankles. looks to me like the ankles will just spin around in a circle. you need about three servos per leg to get on to walk.

I think yor right, it will definately need servos to help lift the gyro. I didn’t realise the complexities involved in making machines
