Light seeking without microcontroller

Will the real Snuffy please stand up…
While Snuffy only has one motor, he has a great publicist.

Interesting, but how does he change directions to find the light?

looks like it turns when in

looks like it turns when in revers or just points in the correct direction not going any where

My suspicion is that it just
My suspicion is that it just goes where the motor takes it, and I think that is straight. It’s elegant in its simplicity. No microcontroller, just using basic circuitry to go and charges with the light. I think the motor has two shafts with equal force (I think).

A very long time ago I could have deciphered the circuitry, but now most everything I do is purely digital. I would have probably used a low pin count microcontroller for this, even though it isn’t the best solution. I’m enjoying watching the one-motor challenge.

Nice quick build Gromer. But
Nice quick build Gromer. But looks like you have 9 posts of the same thing! You might want to delete others?

Nice design…Have you made

Nice design…Have you made a video ? I’d really like to see the robot in action and how it turns towards the light source

Cheers

Video comes tomorrow

tomorrow ill will upload video he going to the light in one direction only he cant turn left and right. But its simple and he can take challenge for one motor robot

I like this, very simple,
I like this, very simple, but it just moves in straight direction…but anyway, a single motor robot that moves in every direction is very hard naturally, great work!

video not working.

Hi, your video is not working here (on an android device). Seeing a blue plug-in error brick. Is it only me?
