Hi @griffingold5 and welcome to our forum.

This device supports I2C,LPUSART1,USB so yes, it can be connected to Arduino.

Question is, do you really need this device or maybe there is a better solution for your project.

What messages do you want to exchange between controllers and what is the distance between them?

Im wanting to send pulses to solenoids out in the field to open and close my valves with dc latching solenoids. do you have any recommendations on hardware?

Hi @griffingold5 !

Do you have a mobile service/network in that field? If yes, if you can have internet, maybe you can use this: https://www.instructables.com/Control-a-Relay-over-the-Internet-via-Arduino-with/
