Hi All,
just a small preview on my new robot, Smokey.
It is a Phoenix based Hexapod.
It is build using a Botboarduino, SSC-32U, 18 Hitec HS-645MG servo motors powered by a 2S 6000MAH battery and regulated by a CC BEC PRO 20Amps.
After having a lot of calibration (still needs a lot more calibration) it was at a point it was moving close to what I wanted Smokey to move.
Right now I have kept the battery on top, but this needs to be moved somewhere else, still trying out some different setups.
I will keep a blog with some How-To’s about my failures and how I solved them.
Also will put an extensive How-To on the calibration in the software as well as using LynxTerminal.
I only have a preview / trailer on the robot.
Right now one of the servo’s had a failure. I found a small piece of metal in the gear box (that should not have been in the servo) that stripped some teeth from a gear.
Robotshop’s great service means They will replace the faulty servo with a new one. (I only had them for a few days)
