Small linear actuator for home improvement application

Hi;

I’m building a custom piece of furniture and need a device to push a door open a short distance so it can be opened without a knob or handle. I’m looking for a 1" to 2" linear actuator. There is no need for any large weight capacity as it will never need to push more than 1 to 2 lbs. of weight.
A couple more questions:

  1. Also; I’m not sure about the powering of your actuators. I see that many look like they are DC powered, but are all of them ? Are there any that are AC powered so I can wire it into the house power supply ?
  2. Is there a way to remotely control the actuator ? Ideally; it would be a small remote control type device, but a connected button of some sort could work as well.

Can you suggest the product(s) you have that may work for me ?

All of the actuators we carry are DC. You can still power the actuator using an AC wall adapter which converts the mains to DC output.
