Which silver spark motor is stronger then the other. 11.1:1, 50:1 I have a beetleweight bot I’m putting together for my brother and wanting a good strong motor with a 3mm shaft that is 2” long.
Hello @Griffind5,
I guess this picture could answer your question:
These are the 9 gear ratios that the silver spark motor can provide.
As you can see, the bigger the gear ratio … the bigger the torque which gives you more strength.
Also, don’t forget the voltage factor as well in your calculations.
Let us know if you have any further questions.
Good luck
Hello @Griffind5,
As you can see in the picture, it’s recommended to stick to the white area so the maximum ratio for the 11.1v would be 100:1 as the red values indicate the stall torque so you shouldn’t choose them for a long run.
Also, the manufacturer indicated that using a voltage higher than 10v would decrease the life of the motor so you can use 7.4v battery with 200:1 ratio and have higher torque than the one you had with the 11.1v
Sincerely,
Awesome thank you so much for your help.
You are welcome
