I want a tilt sensor for the robot mower so the blade stops if someone picks it up. I think an accelerometer is probably overkill. The simple mercury switch may work with some programming but I think it will be registering tilts often since the grass may be rough.
Has anyone use the RPI-1031 sensor? It looks like it will suffer the same issues as the mercury switch by registering tilt too often.
Yes that is a good idea. Thanks
You could use three or four tilt sensors mounted at angles. Therefore when that angle is reached, the tilt sensor is tripped.
