Chris the Carpenter turned me on to these little stereo amplifier boards: http://www.elecfreaks.com/store/a1a4-pam8403-super-mini-digital-amplifier-board-p-531.html With a PAM8403 chip. It seems like these little boards are all over ebay and such for about $3. When I received them I noticed that the breakouts didn't have breadboard-friendly spacing :/ so I hacked up a strip of male headers to fit the board
:
A little hot glue and some speakers and I had a little breadboard stereo module for audio experiments without a bunch of wires \o/
Pretty neat little boards that run off 3.6-5.5v and are simple to hook up.
