I have one machine learning robot project posted on LMR using one machine learning algorithm and now I want to post a new video on the same robot using a new algorithm. Should I just use one robot project called “Machine Learning Crawling Robot” and update it with the new algorithms I will be experimenting with OR should each new algorithm be the basis for a new robot project (even though it is using the same robot)?
Hey @demej00,
It is surely an interesting project AND subject!
And it is also a good question!
Projects such as robots are already in an evolutive and open format, allowing you to add more developments, steps, ideas, documents, videos, images, etc.
I think the best approach in your situation is keeping it as one project. That way, users will find everything at the same place, specially since the hardware won’t be changing much.
From my perspective, it is the same robot that will have upgraded functionalities or features, eg: like a Rover that would have add-ons, such as a robotic arm, an extra set of sensors for specific use, etc. Same base, but many purposes. (That’s probably the most interesting aspect of creating robots !)
You could add different steps for each new algorithms, or just set one new step that has all algorithms under it, …
So, that is my recommendation!
Therefore, if you have something to share that doesn’t fit in your robot post but that is related, you can use the other sections/type of posts.
Eg:
Forum if you want to discuss or to ask questions
Tutorials if you want to help others understand machine learning and help them get started on the subject in a more general way
Blog if you want to write on developments in the field, share your knowledge on the subject with research and examples, news, etc.
So many possibilities and ideas, you choose the one that suits you;
Hope this helps
Thanks Mariane. Very helpful! I will follow your recommendations.
Jim.
