Shaft for microservo Futaba

Hi all,

i am looking for any shaft compatible with these kind of microservo :gpdealera.com/cgi-bin/wgainf100p.pgm?I=FUTM0047.
Dimensions: 0.9 x 0.4 x 0.8" (7/8 x 7/16 x 13/16") (22 x 11 x 20mm)
Output Spline Diameter: 4mm

I am questionning myself : is this shaft compatible with ? robotshop.com/en/servocity-servo-shaft-attachment-futaba.html

I guess it isn’t since it is not specified. Anyone know where i could find a appropriate shaft for this precise output futaba micro servo please ? :frowning:

Thanks for help !

Yep thanks but how can i raccord a kind of shaft that fit on such a cheap horn ? :frowning: it’s real problem to achieve a reasonnable precision !

Or maybe is it possible to connect another kind of horn (metal build ?)… If you know anything… :astonished:

Did you think an adapter like this one exists for 1F spline micro servo output : jrpropo.co.jp/english/products/heli/details.php?hen=70712&db_flg=jp_db1 ?

Yes :frowning: i am dimensionning a small 2 links arm robot (SCARA type, 2 degree of freedom) which works in a plane (see the schema and imagine it’s a top view from above).

Our servomotors will work only to beat the inertial and the friction forces since the gravitationnal load is taken by the structure so we only need small micro servo for doing the job but i don’t find any shaft to adapt to the output of micro servo this is really a big problem :frowning:

“The smaller/lighter it is build, the better it will be” is the desire of our project’s supervisors.

Help please :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi !

what about this kind of solution :
servocity.com/html/servo_shaft_attachment___375__.html#.U1EnwlcucTA

This servo attachment is ok with 1F futaba (which is compatible spline for S3111) am i right ?

I think actobotics is in sell on robotshop too if my memory is fine… :astonished:

EDIT : no you were right its only for 3F and C1 Standard servo :frowning: But if A1 and 1F spline for micro exist there must be solution, no ?

First, sorry for the late reply.

I think you found that you could not use the Actobotics since they are for Standard size too.
There are not a lot of aftermarket products for Micro as they are very weak in torque so not commonly used in robot application.

You can use the supplied horn and build something that fit on it ?

Hi gregowy,

Unfortuantely, this micro servo use smaller spline than the shaft your looking at.
I don’t think there is a shaft made for that servo, do you really need something that small ?

Most shaft and adapter are made for “Standard” size servos.

Thanks,
