I have the vex IQ 63 mm omni wheels. I want to mount them on DFRobot 4WD pirate. Shaft on the robot does not fit the wheel whole at its center. Are there shaft adapters to fit that purpose? If so which ones? Thanks.
The Pirate uses DC gear motors with a 5.4mm diameter double-D output shaft. VEX’s 63mm omniwheesls have a 1/8" rectangular input. The two “don’t play well together” and would need intermediate hardware which neither company offers. If you know someone with a 3D printer and some basic CAD skills, they could create a custom hub for you. Alternatively use laser cut plastic sheets (if you can draw them and source a supplier). Suggest using the outer 8 holes on the VEX omniwheel as connection points. No easy solution I’m aware of. Those really are a nice diameter and price for that robot. If you’d consider smaller or larger wheels (robot would tilt a lot though), we can see if there are options.
