We have assembled the drone and have the radio paired but the motors will not spin are we doing something wrong or is there a bad setting on the radio?? what position do the switches have to be in?? any help is great. A step by step set up of the hunter v-tail to the eclipse radio would be great.
Hi ryansto,
There are a lot to be setup before making the motor spin on a Multicopter / Drone.
We suggest to read the User Manuals available first.
On a Eclipse transmitter make sure you are in Aircraft (ACRO) mode.
Than you have to adjust “End Points” for each channels to 120%, it’s called EPA in the transmitter. (STEP 5 in MultiWii Software Configuration)
Confirm that your “Receiver Signal” in the MultiWiiConf are moving from 1000 to 2000 on each channels.
To make the motor spin, you need to “ARM” the MultiWii board.
This is also explained in the manual, you have to move the left stick Low and Right. To Dis-ARM it’s Low and Left.
- DANGER - The copter will start spinning the motor when you arm it so be careful. We suggest to do all the initial test and to get used to it with the propeller removed.
A MultiWii board need a couple things to be set before having the ability to Arm.
- Have the Accelerometer calibrated on a flat level surface in the MultiWiiConf.
- The copter to be on a level surface, if it’s not it will blink.
- Have the signals of the receiver moving from 1000 to 2000.
alright when i push the right stick forward the roll increases is this correct?
No, this should be PITCH.
Here is how it should behave:
Left Stick (Up / Down) - THROT
Left Stick (Left / Right) - YAW
Right Stick (Up / Down) - PITCH
Right Stick (Left / Right) - ROLL
how do i correct this then?
Physically change the location of your wire on the receiver channel
i am going to redo the electronics as i am having no luck with this running withthe provided instructions.
ryansto is so clever, now i reallly like him very much.
