Well, after doing some cleaning and finding one of my legendary junk boxes, and yes, they are legendary because of the cool stuff I find in them, I discovered I have this in it:
A Tamiya Twin Motor Gearbox
Tamiya High Effecient Gear Box
Several switches used for simple bump switches
Several pieces of r/c aircraft wood (3/8in)
A enclosed AA battery case
And a couple toggle switches (down, center, up, spring loaded)
And before I threw it out, I was looking through my Robot Builders Bonanza 2nd Edition book, and it was talking about building a simple wooden base that you could control via a wired box. I was thinking of doing that, until I realized the simple method of how some toy companies get a robot to walk using a single motor with a ton of fixtures to make it look like it’s walking. Could I use the twin motor gearbox, as well as some of the wood and probably a pulley system to accomplish that. And further more, would I be able to hook a microcontroller up to it once I get one?
Or am I just asking for trouble?
