SES Alum Arm

Hi, I assemled the SES Alum Arm Kit but when I turn on the power switch the power light flickers and when using RIOS none of the motors work when all are connected. When i connect them one by one the shoulder and the wrist work but the others do not run smooth. What am I to do to make those run smooth and also make all motors work at the same time?

~8 out of 10 times this type of issue is due to under powering the arm. What are you using for a power supply for the arm?

If you are having a power issue you need to remove the VS1=VL jumper and install the 9vdc battery to the VL terminals. This isolates the servo power and the microcontroller power.

Are you using a DB9 serial connection or a USB to serial connection?

I removed the VL=VS1 jumper and attached the 9vdc battery to the VL input and there is no power at all now.

Are you sure the 9vdc battery has a charge?

I got it to work. I didn’t enable the servos, which is why none of them would move. Thank you for your help anyway.
